Seven Star’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Working Group
Seven Star created a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) working group in 2019. The group is made up of students and teachers across all belt ranks. The group meets quarterly to discuss and address issues of diversity and inclusion as it pertains to Seven Star’s culture and mission. Their goal is to help Seven Star promote DE&I and social justice in all aspects of its work. Any student is welcome to join this group, regardless of previous experience working on diversity and equity topics. Black Lives Matter
We at Seven Star Women’s Kung Fu stand in solidarity with the Black people in our community, against police brutality, and against bias in the justice system, in healthcare, and in education. Seven Star will continue to actively resist systemic racism with our actions and our collective voice. Black Lives Matter. Black Women Matter. Black Trans Lives Matter. Black Voices Matter.
Gender Policy
Seven Star empowers gender-marginalized individuals through martial arts and self-defense training. We serve the greater Seattle community by providing self-defense training to people of all genders. See our Gender Policy.
